So, you’re booked in for a tattoo… what should you do next?

After booking in

  • If possible, start moisturising the area you are getting your tattoo. This makes your skin nice and soft and allows the needle to go in much smoother, making for an overall better experience for both you and me!

  • Look up your journey to the studio in advance. Make travel arrangements and arrive a short while before your appointment to make sure you’re not late. More info on the studio location can be found on the ‘Find Me’ page

  • Make sure you have sent over all reference images to me via email. This will help me to get a clear idea of what you like and will aid me when it comes to designing your tattoo!

  • With the style of work I do, 99% of my pieces are started and finished in the same session. This means I am drawing up new designs every night for the upcoming appointments. For this reason I cannot draw your design in advance. You will see your drawing on the day of the appointment and small changes can be made then if necessary.

The day of your tattoo

  • Make sure you have a good breakfast/lunch before coming in! This is such a simple tip but so many people don’t think of this. Eating keeps your blood sugar levels up and helps your body to cope with getting tattooed.

  • Wear comfortable, dark coloured clothes that give access to the area you’re getting tattooed. There is a chance ink (which stains) and blood will get on your clothes so please don’t wear anything you wouldn’t want ruined.

  • Feel free to bring some headphones along with you. Download your favourite netflix show or your go-to spotify playlist. A little distraction away from the pain always helps!

  • Bring a sugary drink along, again to help with blood sugar levels
